Inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses and the myth of Pyrrha and Deucalion, the name Pyrrha reflects transformation. Not only the transformation of metal into jewellery, but the emotional shift that occurs when someone connects with a symbol that feels uniquely their own.

Pyrrha’s designs began with antique Victorian wax seals, preserving their natural imperfections and celebrating the visible maker’s hand. Every piece is intentionally beautifully flawed, honouring authenticity, individuality, and craftsmanship over mass-produced perfection.

Since 1995, Pyrrha has handcrafted jewellery in Vancouver, Canada as a response to disposable, mass-produced fashion jewellery. Each talisman is designed as a modern heirloom — meant to be worn daily, treasured long-term, and passed on with meaning.

Committed to ethical and sustainable practices, Pyrrha is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and follows best practices in ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and human rights throughout its supply chain. All Pyrrha jewellery is sustainably handcrafted using recycled metals in Canada.
